Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Kigali

Arrive Kigali International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Kigali Genocide Memorial — a deeply moving and important site that tells the story of the 1994 genocide and Rwanda’s extraordinary recovery. Dinner in Kigali.

Day 2 — Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Drive to Musanze/Ruhengeri (2.5 hours). Afternoon: Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village — traditional Rwandan life, dance, craft. Overnight lodge near the park.

Day 3 — Mountain Gorilla Trek

Early morning briefing at RDB headquarters. Trek into the Virunga volcanoes with RDB rangers. Located a habituated gorilla family — 1 hour with the family. Silverback close encounters. One of Africa’s most premium wildlife experiences.

Day 4 — Nyungwe Forest

Drive south to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Chimpanzee tracking and/or canopy walk (suspension bridge 70m above the forest floor). 13 primate species in Nyungwe.

Day 5 — Return Kigali — Depart

Return Kigali. Souvenir shopping — Caplaki craft village. Depart.
