Visit Horn of Africa was founded in Hargeisa, Somaliland in 2009 by Khalid Osman — a Somaliland native with an intimate knowledge of the Horn of Africa’s most remote corners. What began as a small guiding operation in Somaliland has grown over 15+ years into the region’s most comprehensive frontier tour operator, covering 14+ countries across the Horn of Africa, East Africa, and the Arabian Sea.

We are not a booking platform or an aggregator. We are a ground operator with our own guide network, our own vehicles, our own vetted accommodation partners, and a 15+ year operational track record in some of the world’s most challenging travel environments.
